What to Do in Ninh Binh?
If there’s one place you must visit in Ninh Binh, it’s Hang Múa, also known as the “Dance Cave.” From its summit, you’ll enjoy one of Vietnam’s most spectacular views: endless rice paddies, karst mountains, and the winding Ngo Dong River cutting through the Tam Coc valley.
Hang Múa is a hill rising about 100 meters, famous for its stone dragon–shaped viewpoint and the over 500 steps leading to the top. While the climb may seem challenging, the visual and spiritual reward makes every step worthwhile.
According to legend, this mountain was where King Trần’s dancers practiced their routines—hence its name: Hang Múa means “Dance Cave.”
Along the way you’ll find rest areas, Buddhist statues, and at the end two viewpoint options: the Dragon Viewpoint (higher and more popular) and the Pagoda Viewpoint (quieter and perfect for photos).
Although Hang Múa is famous on social media for its incredible viewpoint, it’s also an ideal place to connect with nature, pause, and reflect. From the top, it’s easy to see why Ninh Binh is known as the “Hidden Gem of Vietnam.”
To avoid the crowds and experience the magic, climb at dawn. It’s a moment of silence, with mist over the rice fields and soft light on the mountains. We can prepare a takeaway breakfast and help organize your visit.
Hang Múa awaits with unforgettable views. Ready to climb the 500 steps and discover the magic from above?
